CATA, or the Coalition Against Trans Antagonism is a grassroots group of trans folks and allies doing outreach to the most marginalized members of our community throughout the province. Recently, our stickers in the Davie St. area (especially around Qmunity) were vandalized and violent, anti-trans graffiti was left nearby. Below is one example.
[Image saying "GAS THE TR*ONS" and "TR*NNY WAR NOW"]

The culprit is a white woman who is between 5'11" and 6' tall. They have light hair (sometimes in a bun) and may be wearing glasses. They are known to act aggressively and follow trans folks home. They may be dangerous to members of the queer community, especially Black and Indigenous folks and POC. They were spotted at Davie and Thurlow at 1:45 PM, June 25th.

DO NOT STAY SILENT in the face of oppression: share this poster far and wide and be on the lookout. Scan the QR code at the top for a social media version and to order stickers.

Coalition Against Trans Antagonism’s work is conducted on the ancestral, traditional and unceded territory of the Coast Salish peoples, which include the xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), & Səl̓ílwətaɁɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) nations (colonially known as Vancouver, Canada). CATA seeks to work in solidarity with Indigenous peoples in the journey for autonomy and self-determination.
